2014 Casa Cor – Chile

by Erika Woelfel

Casa Cor is the largest furniture and design exposition South America. For 25 years it has been the gathering point for the interior design world, taking place in cities across Brazil, Panama, Peru and Uruguay. 2014 marked the 4th year the event was held in Santiago, Chile. Each year the Casa Cor planning committee chooses a different location. The space they select are then transformed into a collection of fantastic high end rooms, and designers compete for prizes. This year the event was held at the stately Santiago Jockey Club grand stand. The show is open to the public and runs through the end of October. This year BEHR was Gold Sponsor of the event, providing all paint found in the showrooms. The colors were uniquely Chilean, providing a snapshot of decor that was dramatic, inventive and of course – beautiful! Below are some of my favorites:

This magnificent Japanese-inspired bath featured dark blue tiled walls, two whirlpool tubs and a separate shower area for a luxurious spa-bath experience.
